A day Tour to Lucca and Pisa

Day Tour to Lucca and Pisa

Lucca and Pisa are pretty close to each other so one day is perfect to visit them both.

Lucca is an ancient Roman town who became famous in the Middle Ages as trade center. It was the last city to join the Granduchy of Tuscany which means that it was an independent city for great part its history. Lucca is known as the “walled city” because its core is still included inside medieval walls. Things to see are quite a lot, that’s why we will be glad to escort you first in a walking tour  around town and then to the major attractions. Be careful not to get lost in the medieval narrow roads of its labyrinth.

If you would, we could fit in the tour a wine company visit in the town of Montecarlo, near Lucca, where to taste some of their splendid red and white wines, together with a visit of the the property with its cellars.

Pisa was the leader city of the Mediterranean during the 11th and 13th century. There is not only the spectacular Leaning Tower to see but also the other buildings located in Piazza dei Miracoli. It is an ensemble of magnificent buildings: The Cathedral, the Baptistery, Monumental Cemetery. All covered in white marble, these buildings are beautiful.
